Had a question about this recently. The general recommendation on mobile device security boils down to two items:

• Set your device to automatically lock after a few minutes of inactivity. Be sure to set a reasonable password for unlocking it (“1234” doesn’t cut it).
• If possible, work with your employer or email provider to enable ‘remote wipe’. With that feature, if your device is stolen, you can request that it have its memory erased remotely (pretty cool!).
