Saw this (the ASUS EeePC 1000) in Fast Company this month.

The whole concept of hot having to deal with a power-sucking, loud, spinning harddrive is brilliant. Solid-state is more efficient (green tech, anyone?), lighter, and lasts longer.

This is one more significant step toward the convergence of cell phones and mobile computing.
